Episode 23: How to Start your Lash Career

“Find out what you like doing best, and get someone to pay you for doing it.” – Katharine Whitehorn

Are you thinking of getting into the lash industry or did you just recently finish your lash course and not sure what to do next? This podcast is for you!

I’ve been in the beauty industry for more than a few years and nothing breaks my heart more than seeing a fellow lash artist give up on her dream. Starting something on your own is scary & overwhelming. There are tons of stuff that you need to learn and sometimes, we just need the right person to guide us to the correct path.

According to a recent article from MMR, the eyelash extension market is expected to grow at a rate of 6.95% CAGR from 2021 to 2027, reaching almost US$ 2.31 billion in 2027. Individuals are choosing specialized salon facilities for lash extensions.

Despite the pandemic, the lash industry is continuously growing at a fast-steady pace. This would be a perfect opportunity for someone who’s considering getting into the industry. Times have changed. You now have the option to take the courses online and be able to get mentored in the comfort of your home. If you have successfully finished your course and got certified, that’s just the beginning. You have to do a bunch of research on things in order for you to get started with your career as a lash artist.

Yes - it may sound confusing and overwhelming at first that’s why I created this podcast episode. This episode is something really close to my heart. I shared my experiences when I was still starting as a lash artist, the things that I have learned, and the things that worked and didn’t work for me especially when I opened my own lash studio. I visited Costa Rica before and English is not their primary language, despite that, the lash artist was able to do a really wonderful job with my lashes. You see, this is the kind of service that transcends different languages.

I hope that this episode will shine a light on your path & serve as a motivation to pursue your career in the lash industry.
