PREPPING FOR YOUR MICRO NEEDLING TREATMENT

Thank you for choosing Elevate Lash Lounge Inc.! During a micro-needling treatment we use special needles to puncture the skin in a specific depth. This triggers a wound healing process which utilizes growth factors that instruct the body to develop new, healthy, younger looking skin.

We are excited to show you how micro-needling can be used to improve the texture of your skin- fade scarring, stretch marks & winkles! Here’s a few tips on how to prepare for your treatment before your visit.

BOOKING YOUR APPOINTMENT

Please note that micro-needling requires a commitment of at least 3 sessions received in a timely manner to be most effective and optimize your visible results. Because of this all first time micro-needling appointments are booked as a package of 3 sessions (one initial session & two complimentary touch-up sessions booked 6-8 weeks consecutively afterwards). We are a busy studio and it is recommended to book at least one month in advance for your initial micro-needling appointment. It is also recommended to book your 2 complementary touch-ups at that time to ensure timely availability.

Please book your first appointment using our online Booking page. Your first micro-needling appointment initiates the healing process in the skin. While one treatment will begin to improve the look and texture of your skin- please do not expect to see dramatic results after only one session. Micro-needling is a process and our goal for this appointment is simply to set the basis of ideal healing response for your subsequent treatments to be most effective.

Follow-up appointments should be scheduled online at the time of your first appointment booking to ensure studio availability in a timely manner, it is recommended to book your 1st touch-up session 6 weeks from your first session and your 2nd touch-up micro-needling treatment 6 weeks apart from your first touch-up for optimum cumulative results.

To respect the time of our artists and waitlist clients, a 50% non–refundable deposit plus GST is required to schedule and secure your initial appointment and is deducted from the total price due at your appointment. This deposit is to ensure that you are committed to undergoing your micro-needling treatment. If you cancel or miss your appointment, you will forfeit your deposit. BEFORE YOUR APPOINTMENT

For the best healed results, we recommend:

You do not consume alcohol, caffeine or blood thinners (aspirin, ibuprofen, Niacin, fish/primrose oil) 48 hours before your procedure.

Avoid the following facial procedures within 3 weeks of your micro-needling treatment:

• Laser Facials
• Botox / fillers
• Chemical peels
• Exfoliation and retinol product

Please avoid tanning bed & sun exposure for 30 days BEFORE and AFTER your procedure. This is crucial to achieve the best healed results! UV creates additional stresses in the skin and can trigger a trauma healing response negating the positive benefits of your treatment- therefore if you arrive with signs of sun exposure, we will unfortunately have to reschedule your appointment and you will forfeit your deposit.

ON YOUR APPOINTMENT DAY

Relax… you are in good hands! We are highly rated, professionally trained by industry leaders, insured and approved by the Interior Health Authority.
To ensure you are comfortable during your service, please ensure you:

• Have a light snack 20 to 30 minutes before your appointment

• Wear comfortable, loose & cozy clothing that you can lay down in for an extended period of time

What you can expect from your micro-needling treatment at Elevate Lash Lounge Inc.:

Micro-Needling Consultation: (15 min) Your micro-needling technician will meet with you and create a plan for your treatment. We will also discuss aftercare and healing during this time.

Numbing: (20 min) Prior to your procedure, a topical anesthetic (5% lidocaine ointment) is applied. We will also layer an additional numbing agent during the tattooing to increase your comfort. Clients have actually fallen asleep during their treatments with us, so please rest assured that we will do everything we can to make sure you are as comfortable as possible during the process.

Micro-needling: (Duration dependant on service areas) During a micro-needling treatment we use special needles to puncture the skin in a specific depth. This triggers a wound healing process which utilizes growth factors that instruct the body to develop new, healthy, younger looking skin and can also be used to address stretch marks or scarring in the pre-determined area.
