What is an eyelash extension?

An eyelash extension is a synthetic, semi-permanent fibre made from PBT (Polybutylene Terephthalate) that is adhered with adhesive to the individual natural lashes.

What exactly is PBT Is there such a thing as mink or silk lashes?

PBT is a premium synthetic material, an engineered thermoplastic polymer. All lashes are made of this material, even though some lashes are called synthetic mink, synthetic silk, super mink, etc.

Is the adhesive safe

Yes. We use only the highest quality adhesive as recommended for eyelash extensions, this adhesive has been thoroughly tested and proven safe for use by certified lash technicians.

What’s the difference between Classic lashes, Volume lashes and Hybrid lashes?

Classic lashes are applied one extension to one natural lash, and result in a beautiful, natural look. Volume lashes consist of very thin, fine lashes that are shaped into a fan of 2-6 lashes which are then adhered to one individual lash to give the appearance of more lashes on the eye. Hybrid lashes are a combination of classic and volume styles and are used to create a full lash effect.

How long will my new lashes last?

Generally a fill will need to be booked for 2-3 weeks after your initial set to ensure your lashes always look their best. However, a person’s hair growth speed, seasonal hair growth cycles, excessive oils on the face, rubbing or pulling of lashes, exposure to extreme temperatures or failure to properly follow the after care guidelines can result in losing lashes more quickly.

Will I feel the lash extensions on my eyes?

No. The lashes are extremely light weight and are placed 1 millimetre away from the eyelid on top of your natural lash.

How long does it takes for a full set of lashes?

A full set can take anywhere from 1 1⁄2 - 4 hours, and depends on the style of lashing being done, the number of natural lashes on the eye and the skill and experience of the lash technician.

Can I wear makeup when I have eyelash extensions?

Mascara or eyeliner are not recommended for use with extensions as the oils and chemical compounds will break down the glue. Eye shadows may be used as long as the eye area is thoroughly cleaned following use as outlined in the aftercare guidelines.

Will eyelash extensions harm my natural lashes in any way?

Rubbing or pulling on lash extensions or improper removal by someone other than a certified lash technician can result in lost lashes and breakages. However, lash extensions applied correctly will not cause the natural lash to break or shed prematurely.
